I have been in a nasty custody battle since July 2010. My future ex-wife is an attorney and is willing to spend me into oblivion. I have been the primary care giver for our daughter since 2003, Mr. Mom if you will. I love my role and have been the parent who has always been there for our daughter - taking her to school and picking her up. Helping her with her homework, fixing dinner, tucking her in. Our daughter confides in me, she shares her dreams and her boggles. My wife, on the other hand is a career oriented social climber in the Public Sector. She spends her time chasing money and accolades. She chases these things to fill her emotional holes. She has been physically and emotionally unavailable to her daughter and me. She has hobbies that fill her time as well. I don't begrudge her that, but she puts her equestrian hobby ahead of her daughter. She treats her daughter and me like horse in her stable; expecting us to be happy with the occasional carrot or to have us taken out for a ride when it is convenient for her.

Now that we are in the midst of the divorce my wife is fighting with all her resources to squash me financially. Her goal is to bankrupt me and keep our daughter from seeing me. She refuses to cooperate and she is attempting to buy her daughters love and affection. She also berates me to our daughter and places our daughter in the middle of our adult world.

I could give details about my wife that would expose her hypocricy, vindictiveness, heavy handedness and lies about her part in our divorce but it would serve no purpose here other than allowing me to feel better by venting. That kind of solace is short lived and is detrimental to our daughter.

My appeal here is for financial help. I need money to continue my effort to maintain my role as our daughters primary caregiver, to keep her life as stable as it can be and as near to what it was as possible in our new situation.
